History
Husband & Wife team Mario & Mary Volarevic have been involved within the construction industry since their teenage years starting back in 1985, Mario being employed as an apprentice and Mary as a building supplies sales consultant. Over the years they furthered their education and gained valuable practical experience within the industry that now forms the foundation for ABC National.
In 1991, as husband & wife, they undertook their first project which was a modest pair of two bedroom units in the south eastern suburb of Melbourne, fittingly known as Endeavour Hills. They both distinctly recall spending hours after work on the units planning and designing all the finer details of the project. It didn’t matter how big a day they had, they were never too tired of going the extra mile.
Following this project they came to the conclusion that nothing inspired them more than being creators of quality projects and being part of the entire building process. To form lasting relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers is something that still resonates for them both and knowing that they have enhanced the lifestyle of an individual, family or improved an organisation, gives them a huge sense of achievement. Testament to this is winning awards back in 1999 for MBA “Home of the Year” to as recently being finalist for the 2011 HIA “Custom Built Home of the Year $1million to $2million category”.
Twenty years on and the same passion and drive is still there which is evident from the referral work and nature of projects that ABC National is commissioned to undertake. Every project is treated with the same amount of care by taking ownership from conception to completion.
